YouTube goes to 1080p

YouTube announces that it will now display 1080p video:

…no word on how big their actual player will be, but hopefully larger than the 480p they are now calling “HD.”

Metro Encoding has been compressing and uploading 720p video to YouTube for our clients for the last two years. It will be a slight relief to not resize the 1080p video down.  Feel free to send us your HDCAM content!
